Here’s a clip from section 2 of tonight’s show. The brkn choir (original sample found on YouTube) is one of my favorite parts and has given me the idea to disassemble and reassemble choral samples to make a new sound piece. But that’ll come later. I’d like to record my own choir for that project. I also liked this piece because near the end (which isn’t posted here), I got to use my midi to play a software instrument that I made. I don’t have enough space here on Soundcloud to post the shows in their entirety, but you can hear them in the archives at numbers.fm. You can hear all of the other artists do their thing there too. They’re dope. Here are the notes from tonight’s broadcast:

Brkn Concrete radio notes for Feb20,2012: A 1hr piece called “Kluseet Kneetz 1051519 in 3 Sections”. It’s a generally quiet & minimal sound piece w/ various interruptions, including a chopped choir and a crazy field recording from the Amtrak Union Station. Lots of click-clacks, slow builds, and it gets quite noisy in some places. But, most of the sounds (even the noisy ones) are generated by recording the sound of myself knitting with 3 different kinds of needles in my closet (diy recording studio) for an hour - hence, the name of the track.
