DIY tape loop. I tried this once, and one unexpected outcome I found was that my tape deck recorded and played the loop at fluctuating speeds.

Worms make music on a Crackle Box
The ”Crackle Box” is a body contact synthesizer. It uses the resistance in your skin to determine the oscillators frequency. Worms like your skin can conduct electricity with a varying resistance depending on how they press the contacts. The “Crackle Box” was originally sold in the 70’s by STEIM in Amsterdam.
